    Hello Cognos Fans,

    we are observing various "warmup" function warnings when Cognos is being started.

    As we have not imported any Samples, there is this warning. 

    Any documentation about this functionality available?

    Good afternoon Ralf,

    This is a report the runs each time when dispatcher starts, it runs a built-in report to warm up class loaders, to preload classes - C++ components and there is no data retrieval involved.

    Oh, that´s great news. How can we run "our" reports to warmup the SQL Cache? Is there any config file, where we can set the reportname or IDs to "warm up"?

    Hi Ralf,

    You cannot use this feature for your own reports today, sorry.  It is something we could certainly look at adding into the product as a new feature.  My suggestion to you today would be to use the SDK and "warm up your system" with your reports and send the report run request to each dispatcher in your environment.

    If you would like the "warm up" feature added to the product please log an IBM idea so that I can send this to other customers and get their input/votes.
