    Hi Everyone,

    I would like to know if we remove user profile from Cognos, will the schedules of users get removed automatically?

    I'm not 100% sure, but my understanding is that if you remove the userprofile, the user reports, including the schedule, will be deleted along with the profile.

    (1) If the schedule belongs to an object (like report) that is located in users profile (my content) then anything including the schedule will be removed.

    (2) If the object that is scheduled is located outside of users profile (somewhere in team content) then the credentials for the schedule will become invalid and the schedule will fail. 

    Note: In case of (2) you will not get any error. You will still see the schedule in upcoming events but the object will not be executed and after the time of execution nothing will be shown in past events list. Only in log file you will see an error message that the credentials are invalid. There is also no data in audit database about the failure.

    One of my report developers retired when we were on 11.1.1 and when his profile was removed, his "team" assets such as reports, data modules, schedules all stayed the same, but the name associated with them (owner, etc) changed to something like "unknown", I can't quite remember. When I later altered one of his schedules, I think it made me the owner. This was years ago so I can't make any promises, but we definitely didn't lose his reports in our Team Content.
