Hi Chris,
If we open the file in notepad the zeros were not truncated only csv file truncating the Zeros. And we are going to raise PMR with IBM for this issue.

What are you using to view the CSV file? Excel will remove the zeroes by default from memory. If you use something like Notepad does it still display without the leading zeroes?

Hi, I can confirm this, even though the data type is set correctly in the data module. I recommend to open a case for IBM.

Subject: Cognos Output removing leading zeros in CSV format
Hi Everyone,
We have a column and its datatype is varchar. While creating cognos dashboard we getting correct data and when exporting the data in csv the leading zeros are removed.
Eg: we have 9 digit data 000123456 its displaying correctly in dashboard but in csv showing 123456. I have tried including space between the data but no luck.
Please suggest to overcome this issue.
Thanks in advance.
