  • 1.  Cognos on premises to Cloud

    Hi,

     

    We are using Cognos 10.2.2 and 11.0.13 versions on premises Linux servers.

     

    There is plan for all application migration from  on premises to Cloud in my organization.

     

    As of my knowledge can't migrate Cognos 10.2.2 and 11.0 version to Cloud.

     

    Frist upgrade to both 10.2.2 and 11.0.13 version to 11.1 then migrate to cloud is the best option ?

     

    Can you please suggest how to  migrate cloud Cognos 10.2.2 and 11.0.13 version.

    Hi,

    Can you be more specific about what you mean in terms of the Cloud? There are a number of options:

    1. The IBM On-Demand Cloud SAAS offering - a shared cloud environment run and managed by IBM
    2. The IBM Cognos Analytics on Cloud Hosted SAAS offering - a dedicated cloud environment run and managed by IBM
    3. Your own install of Cognos Analytics, run in whatever cloud provider platform you choose to provision
    4. The IBM Cognos Analytics cartridge, running in IBM Cloud Pak for Data on your chosen cloud provider

    Each of these has a different method for migrating content, so you'll need to pin down your preferred option before we can advise further.
