Hello,

Is there any way to know what kind of connection is used in Cognos Framework Manager packages?

For example, in Tableau you can extract data or connect live to the data source. 

How can I know Cognos FM packages connected live to the data source or is it import? And If it's import how to know the schedule time?

Hi Bek,

if you look at a report that runs in full interactive mode you can select the "Explore" icon from the tool bar and choose "Lineage" to get more information about your datasource:

If your report runs in the classic viewer this information is available in the context menu (right mouse click).

The lineage feature will at least show your the way of the data inside of Cognos Analytics. If this isn't helpfull I'd suggest to ask the modeler of the FM package to supply such information.
