    HI,

I have 42 cases and 21 variables and I wanted to group them based on how they scored in each variable? Can I do a cluster analysis or do I need more numbers?

With so few cases and so many variables, you could do clustering, but I doubt that the result would be of much more use than a simple average, assuming continuous variables.--

    Hi Jon,

Yes I have tried to gather results but there is nothing obvious that splits the groups. Do you suggest another way to go about splitting the groups? And yes they are continuous variables.

What is your purpose in splitting the groups?   You could bin the variables arbitrarily into a specified number of categories using the Visual Binner.  The STATS PREPROCESS extension command, available via Extensions > Extension Hub provides a K-bins method that allows for some other criteria in case that might be helpful.

What are your objectives? What is your sample? What are the variables?

    Cheers,
