Could not find an active WAS community group on here, so I thought my best luck would be to post in this one.

Working in WAS 9 ND with an SSL enabled mobile app connecting to Maximo using native auth, and hoping to add additional authentication via way of client or web certificate methods, for only the mobile app. I am trying to confirm my understanding and achieve the below scenario based on the WebSphere document below. Hopeful there's someone with experience in configuring similar or the same.

Secure Sockets Layer client certificate authentication

Ex:
1) If mobile device (client) contains signer certificate and matches what's configured in WAS (server), the native login page will load for the user
2) If mobile device (client) does not contain signer certificate to match what's configured in WAS (server), the native login page will not load for the user

Can WebSphere ND support the above scenario while maintaining native auth into Maximo via the mobile app? Or would this require Maximo to be configured with LDAP in this case to support the certificate mapping to a user registry? 

Feeling like my hands might be tied here but wanting to confirm.
