Anyone experienced issues with dashboard in Cognos 11 error on "Can't retrieve data from the data set" on some objects, some objects return fine with some delay.  Switching gateway using dispatcher, dashboard return right away without any issues.  We have submitted a ticket with IBM, but this case has been dragged on, want to see anyone already found a fix to this issue.

This error can occur if the request size is larger than what has been set in IIS. If not done so already, I would suggest reviewing the below technote and increase the request size:

We did change IIS setting by set:  Test with first one to at least 16000 and the second to at least 8000

I have the same exact issue.  I have changed both those settings to their max and it still randomly happens.  Especially if a bunch of users attempt to use the Dashboard data set at the same time.  It throws 0 errors on the server side so I cannot figure out what causes it.  Its very annoying and typically involves the user have to dump all their cache and cookies multiple times to get it to work.  Using 11.0.13.  If anyone knows of a mor permanent fix or at the very least how to see an actual usable error it would greatly be appreciated.
