Hi all, I'm using Cognos Analytics 11.1 R1 and, when I create a calculated field into a data module, the Calculated aggregation does not appear, only have these options to aggregate:

• None
• Average
• Count
• Count Distinct
• Maximum
• Minimum
• Total

This calculated field is a division of two other numeric fields with Measure usage, so the result is decimal and with measure usage too. Despite of this, I don't see the Calculated option to aggregate my new field, and it's very disappointing, because the data module is used by a dashboard, in which we cannot use any filter to make the visualizations dynamic.

I'd appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

I am having 11.1.1 version. The third box under Expression (where you have entered Unit Cost) does not let me enter a column name, rather lets me add only a number. 

How can this be calculated as a calculated variable, which much change dynamically when different levels are chosen in a dashboard.

That option was implemented in 11.1.2.

I selected the quantity and unit cost query items and then choose to create the calculation.  The selection order determines which query item gets put into the expression in which position.  You can press the switch button to switch the position of the query items.

If you feel up to it, you can create the expression in the calculation editor as well.
