Hi , i already know that IBM integrates with Amazon S3 using the IBM Cloud Storage Solutions for i (5733-ICC) product or via IBM Storage Protect (Spectrum Protect), allowing you to transfer virtual media directly to cloud object storage. 

We are doing some test with  ICC but do you know other connectors, plug-in or software solution can integrate IBMi (BRMS) with Amazon S3 to test or contact? 

We have S3 space and some customer ask the way to save on it ...

Hi Luca,

I am not sure if that makes sense, because the solution BRMS+ICC has some limitations because of the amount of data you can process per backup window, and the local disk usage.

The alternatives with BRMS are VTLs, not plugins: Falconstor, Starwind, and many more if you are running your workloads on-premise (DataDomain, LaserVault, Cybernetics ...)

There are also other software based solutiones, like eVault (Carbonite) , ArcServer and CommVault with S3 support. 

Or you can build your own...
