Our Auditors want block certain Cognos groups from sending reports email. The clients can be in multiple groups. But if they are in the DoNotSendEmail group, then they are not be able to send emails.

Hi Brenda, 

In CA 11.1.7, there are capabilities added for this - 
Email capability allows users to send emails. So, if you restrict this capability for your DoNotSentEmail group, those users will not see this option to mail either while scheduling, or running reports in background or sharing via email. 
Attach Outputs - if your intention is ONLY to stop sending attachments to mailboxes, then you can look at this option. 

In earlier versions, you can look at restricting the Scheduling capability that would restrict the Schedule feature but remember that users cannot even schedule reports to save outputs as well.

Hi Brenda, 

Those are capabilities you can find in Manage > People > Capabilities section. You can assign the access to these capabilities for required roles only or you can deny for specific roles as per your need.
