Subject: BAW language-dependent process instance list???
Hi Laszlo, Did the client has the same problem on v19?
PS. I have worked a lot with clients who use thier local languages on Process Portal and haven't seen that problem since BPM.

Hi Michael,
Well, we will ask some support from IBM.
Additional info:
The client's BAW was an upgrade from v19 to v22.
Our DEV BAW was a brand new v22 installation
Thx,

Hi Laszlo,
I agree with Ahmed and strongly advise to open (separate) support tickets for the issues you are facing on the dev and prod installations. Has there been any update to the versions of BAW which caused the problem to show up?
It will most likely require a detailed analysis to identify the root cause of the problem which is beyond the scope of support we can provide via the community. Feel free to post the case ID so that we can follow up on that topic if you like.
Best regards,

No, on our development environment there is another phenomenon.
At the client process instances are disappeared / appeared depending on the language setting.
On our development environment ther are sometimes sysout.log entries with a hungarian word as a format controller.
Two different phenomenons, but both indicates a language setting connection.
Till now we did not opened a support ticket.

Hi Laszlo, do you say you can produce that issue on other environments (Dev)? Is there any 22 environment that you don't see that issue? Is that new installation BAW 22? Was there any upgrade from old version?
Have you opened a support ticket?

Hi Ahmed,
Yes, at the same time on the same environment.
But there must be something wrong around localozations/language settings, because on our development environment (v. 22) we see in the systemout.log many-many entries like this when users are testing the new developments:
webapp E com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.webapp.WebApp logServletError SRVE0293E: [Servlet Error]-[BPMRestAPIServlet]: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: unknown format type: szám
where "szám", the hungarian word means "number". We suppose, there was an exception, and BAW wanted to log a number using a format function for it, but because of the user language settings, the [english] word "number" translated to the hungarian equivalent of "szám" in the format string. It's weird, but we can't find other explanation.

There is no relation between language and task assignment. Are you sure both screenshots are taken in the same time?
I advise you to open a support ticket.

Subject: BAW language-dependent process instance list???
Hi All,
BAW Version 22.
One of our client reported that she do not see some process instances in the Processes list of the Process Portal, although they are active, running, and are visible in Process Inspector and tasks are visible for the assignees. The user hase rights tho see them. We did some investigations but did not found any reason why she do not see that process instances. It seems that some of the process instances simply disappear depending on the language setting.
Later she noticed that our screesnshots - proved that the process instances are visible - displays the BAW page in english, but her Process Portal is set hungarian. She gave it a try and switched the language in her profile to english: the missing process instances apeeared. She switched back to hungarian: the same process instances disappeared. Again back to english: the missing process instances appeared again. Unbelievable!
She deleted the browser hisory and restarted the browser: had no effect, the situation is the same: using hungarian language the process instances disappeared, using english they appeared. After this she deleted the browser history and restarted the entire computer and see a miracle: now all the missing process instances are visible when the language is hungarian.
Could somebody explain please what's happening? Why do matter the language setting when we use the Processes dashboard of the Process Portal? Is there any setting to avoid this phenomenon? Customers believe that BAW is faulty and don't trust it, they believe that process instances are lost.
Hungarian (disappeared the same process instance) vs. english (appeared the same process instance):

Thx,
