    Hi all.

While following the installation guide for setting up the External Content Engine for BAW, the installation guide stated that the Administrative user must have the PRIVILEGED_WRITE permission on the object store.

Permissions required for the new object store - IBM Documentation

Upon checking on the object store, there is not such permission, I cant seems to be able to locate the PRIVILEGED_WRITE permission,  together with other permissions listed in the installation guide:

    • CONNECT
    • MODIFY_OBJECTS
    • PRIVILEGED_WRITE
    • READ_ACL
    • REMOVE_OBJECTS
    • STORE_OBJECTS
    • WRITE_ACL
    • WRITE_ANY_OWNER

I am getting error while trying to run the setBPMExternalECM

Is there anything I missed while configuring the Content Engine? FYI I am using Contente Engine 5.6.

    Rgds

    Hi,

the access right you are looking for is  'modify certain system properties'. It is actually a better name than privileged write, but the inconsistency is certainly a problem.

This access right allows the user to modify  system properties that are usually left to the system like creation date, last modification date, etc.

    Hope this helps,

    /Gerold

See the following information in the FileNet documentation on how to set this access right: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/filenet-p8-platform/5.6.0?topic=stores-setting-privileged-write-access-object-store

    Hi Kean,

Did you take a look at this link:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/cwtds0034e-object-store-docs-permissions-are-configured-incorrectly

Add "Modify certain system properties" permission to the "CEOS" Object Store for both users as well as groups.

Let me know if that works.
