I have a customer who want to look at automating the GKB update process for TADz.

They'd like to be able to retrieve GKB updates without using the interactive web screens.

Also, they'd like to know if there have been any changes to the GKB process from TADz to IZSAM?

Obtaining the TADz GKB file from Fix Central requires manual intervention.
The IZSAM GKB is available as a PTF so customers just need to apply the PTF and run the GKB load job.

Hi Ashwini,

Can the monthly IZSAM GKB file be provided the same way that TADz 8.1 GKB's are provided, as a link to a file instead of a PTF? Our SMP/E environment for TADz/IZSAM are on different complexes than the Repositories. Having a link to the GKB file to download would much more convenient that having to apply a PTF and then move that resulting files to the repositories.

Hi Tim,

We are not able to use Fix Central for the GKB anymore. Fix Central is used only or mid-range products, not z o/s. It will be used for the TADz V8.1 GKB till the EOS but after that only ShopZ will be used.
