Additional info - I've done following test:
On primary VIOS:
entX - adapter with admin interface enX configured on it
entY - SEA adapter (primary in failover configuration)
1. On this primary VIOS, I've checked:
ping to the prod netaddr IP 10.20.200.252 was working fine (through admin interface configured on enX).
$ entstat -all entY | grep Active
Priority: 1 Active: True
$ lsdev -dev entY -attr | grep netaddr
netaddr 10.20.200.252 Address to ping True
2. ifconfig down enX
ping to netaddr no loger works but the SEA is still active on this VIOS
$ entstat -all entY | grep Active
Priority: 1 Active: True
How it is possible that SEA failover doesn't occur if the ping stopped to work on primary VIOS?
Or maybe it makes sense to configure netaddr IP on SEA only in case IP is configured on SEA's enY interface?
