There are several operational issues we are seeing in DNG use like artifacts get locked automatically and then even the owner cannot unlock those. Has anyone experienced the same thing and how have you dealt with it?

Locking is a by design action when editing an artifact but DNG should release the lock when editing finishes. What DNG version are you using?

You can contact IBM Support and ask for the "ReleaseInvalidLocks" script.  You can then run this script to release all locks on a specific PA.
