    Apptio Planning Release 5.2

    Release Date: June 9, 2025 


    Note: This release applies to Postgres Beta customers only.


    PostgresSQL Database Migration 

    We're upgrading Apptio Planning's database infrastructure to PostgreSQL, a modern, scalable platform designed to deliver faster performance, improved reliability, and a more robust user experience. 

    What's Changing: 

    • Backend Migration: Apptio Planning is moving from the current database to PostgreSQL.
    • Improved Performance: Users can expect faster load times and more responsive interactions, especially in large plans.
    • Better Scalability: The new infrastructure will support larger data volumes and growing planning needs.
    • Foundation for AI & Automation: This upgrade enables future enhancements like AI-powered forecasting and intelligent workflows. 

     

    Bug Fixes 

    • Fixed an issue where the Spend Trend chart on the Dashboard page displayed full-plan actuals instead of filtering to only the Projects and Departments the user has access to.
    • Resolved an issue that caused Description filter values to overlap visually, making them hard to read or select when applying filters.
    • Resolved an issue where users without permission to view sensitive data encountered an error on the New Expense Page when base compensation was marked as sensitive. With this fix, base compensation will be properly hidden for unauthorized users.
