We're trying to set up a REST connector to access data stored in Azure. We're struggling, because of some mysterious issue with credentials. Yes, you can specify the URL associated to the RESTful API and the connector is supposed to pick up the data. We're not there yet, as we cannot (yet) establish the connection, because of said configuration issue.
The really bad thing is that I cannot even save the connector, so that Support can look at it. When setting the connector up, it fails the token validation (esoteric) and Datalink refuses to save it π
We'll crack it-eventually π±βπ€ππ±βπππ

Hi @Aaron Russell, not yet, but definitely interested!β Are you saying I can use a pre-existing query URL to create the connector? Totally green on connectors, btw. I've created connectors off Apptio reports or tables, but that's about it. ;)

Jenny / Craig - I could be late to the party here, but have you tried the new DL ServiceNow custom connector that launched recently as part of the new ServiceNow integration?
The DL team have worked with ServiceNow to create predefined ServiceNow connectors to better integrate the solutions, inc a custom connector. This can be used to pull in data from any other table (not included with the predefined connectors), custom report or custom url having a RESTful endpoint.

Hoping our ITSM team can create us some reports based off the queries we use then. Not everyone has access to build reports (myself included). I think they lock it down so they can better control the environment.

We write a report in ServiceNow and then use a ServiceNow (Report) Connector to pull in the data.

Subject: Anyone pull in data via an API to ServiceNow Query Builder?
Is there anyone out there that has an automated datalink connection to ServiceNow Query Builder? We have queries made for our Service Mapping & Discovery which shows which applications are associated to which servers. Since these queries are not typical tables or reports has anyone figured out a way to pull them into Apptio easily via an API or existing connection?
Thanks
Craig
