    Looking to get started with running Ansible on POWER IBM i for a few of my clients. I have no background with Ansible but understand that there are some playbooks and content available to work with IBM i.  Is there any recent material on learning how-to or links for getting started?

    Hi Mike,

       You can find IBM i collection in Ansible Galaxy. Check this URL Galaxy NG (ansible.com) . There are various role for different tasks that can be implemented in IBM i. If you prefer here you have the repository: IBM/ansible-for-i: the tool is to provide several customized modules for Ansible to manage IBM i systems. (github.com)

    What I recommend is use of AWX (ansible/awx: AWX provides a web-based user interface, REST API, and task engine built on top of Ansible. It is one of the upstream projects for Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. (github.com)) - always a GUI  makes it easy to adopt new solutions.

    There is some useful information for getting started with the Ansible for i collection at the github documentation page

    which is pointed to from the github README area at the collection source location https://github.com/IBM/ansible-for-i.

    On the documentation page I would take a look at the 2nd link under "Getting Started Articles".
    There is also a "GETTING STARTED" section in the left panel that has a couple of helpful links.

    The source code also has useful examples of exercising the collection under the "playbooks" directory and also with the "usecases" directory.
