​Hello,

I'm getting sporadic message related to the dataset ie:

'Can't retrieve data from dataset'
'xqe-gen-0035 received invalid response.  HTTP Status Code Code 500...'

If I open the dashboard to edit mode, change the graph to a different type (example stacked bar) then back to the original type (example line) the graph then works again.

Anyone else have this issue or know the cause/solution?

What version (online or on-prem) and what release are you running? Is this in a trial environment?

@Jenifer Broughton There is really not enough information in your message to know what is going on.  The message says there was an error, but does not include the error.  I recommend you open a support ticket and provide the logs.   ​

​The error message is:
Unable to establish a metadata connection to the datasource .. followed by a long string of numbers and letters ending with _sessionTemp12HTTP/1.1 400 Bad request.

This is not a trial version.  It's a production issue, Cognos version 11.0.11.

The error appears to be random.  Example.
Tab1 has 4 visualizations.
Viz1 - I click year to filter viz 1 - 4.
Viz 2 receives the 'metadata' error.
I then click the year in Viz1 to remove the year filter.
Viz2 then appear (but it is in a distorted size.
I then click on viz1 year again.
Viz2 filters fine AND returns to the original size.
