    MAM 7.6.1.2:

I'm finding the conditional UI in Application Designer to be tedious to use (and tedious to migrate).
Most of the time, my conditional UI configurations don't need to be based on security; they apply to everyone. I would prefer to avoid creating numerous custom sig options, if possible.

Do we have any alternative mechanisms we can use to make conditional UI configurations?

Global data restrictions (attribute restrictions tab) might be an option.

I know the answer depends on the use case/requirements. I’m just curious what options we have in general.

It's not possible today to do conditional UI functionality except by tying it to a signature option and security group. This has come up as a RFE a few times (most recent one is this: AI Applications - Ideas Portal
    Ibm remove preview
    AI Applications - Ideas Portal

) so I'd suggest supporting this if you haven't already.

For read-only/required fields, I'd always suggest a global data restriction over conditional UI. You can still make it app specific if desired but it supports being global across applications as well. I find it much easier to discover and follow the conditional UI.
