We are trying to move from the publish/subscribe model to using the webMethods deployer to migrate code between different environments.
I would like to know the advantages of deployer over publish/subscribe model.

IME, Deployer is far, far easier to deal with than package pub/sub. And covers more than just IS packages.
Deployer will help you resolving dependency issues, you can also simulate your deployment to check if deployment will succeed also you have the option of creating checkpoint so that u can rollback if required.
