With this version, you cannot create a new contact. I don't know if you can send email with the trial version.

You might try the following:

• Right click on a report, then choose Run as
• Select Run in Background then go to the Delivery section.
• Click Send report by email, then Edit details
• Change or add a valid email address
• Click on Run

I can send by email, but it doesn't let me change or add an email, it only lets me select emails from my address book and as I can't add emails or contacts, I can't send it to anyone else but myself. That's what I don't understand, if I can't add contacts and I can't modify the email to send it to another person, then I don't know how to share it, hence my question.

From what I see, I believe you might have users from your namespace called "bid".

The other workaround would be to create a report output from your report in PDF (or another format). Save it on your computer and you should be able to send it to any users, if it is just for a demo (or Proof of Concept), for instance.

I really have to admit that I'm confused. In our (on-premise) installation of Cognos it's easy to add new recipients. Just type the email address - finish. Can it be, that the trial version just doesn't allow this feature?

I guess this must be it as I can't find a way, so I will wait and ask my company once we finish the trial version. But it is strange because I thought that in the trial version you had the premium features. But I can't find any other explanation than the limitations of the trial version.
