  • 1.  Actuals not showing when updating forecast in the Other tab

    Posted Thu July 06, 2017 07:39 PM

Last month we updated our forecast using the Other tab and all the actuals were showing. Today I tried to update forecast and no actuals data was showing in the Other Tab. Did anything change since mid June? I see actuals in the Summary tab; but when I navigate to the Other tab, they disappear.

    Hi Moussa,

Here are some things to check:

    1. Are you in a forecast or in a plan?

    2. Did you load in actuals and open the months?

If you have done the above please can you send a screen shot with your numbers greyed out of the before and after? IF you only have the after that is ok to.

    Thanks,

    Lauren

In Release 2.05 (June 28, 2017), we fixed a bug where the Expense > Other tab incorrectly showed actuals in forecast plans, resulting in a total that included all actual transactions but only a subset of forecasted financial line items (since the Other tab does not include generated labor, contracts or asset amounts).
To view actuals and forecast line items, users need to use the Expense > Summary tab. Actuals are not available in the Labor, Contracts, Assets or Other tabs since we cannot determine which resource the actuals apply to. The Expenses > Summary tab provides a view of all financial line items by Cost Center and Account, which can be compared to actuals.

It would be most helpfull if past forecasts could be frozen instead of deleted

I just had the same issue Moussa did back in 2017. How can this be fixed? I clearly remember less than a month ago I was able to see in the other tab actual as well.

    Please advise!

    Hi,

Actuals have only been available in the summary tab since the release referenced above. You should be able to see all line items there including ones from the other tab.

    Thanks,

    Lauren Griessel

    Hi Lauren!

Long time no see, I hope that you are doing well,

I remember that in the past we had that capability.

So this means that this not an error or bug?

    Sincerely,

    Hi,

I am doing great thanks hope you are too!

Correct this is not an error or a bug. You can only see actuals on the summary tab.

    Thanks,

    Lauren Griessel
