  • 1.  accessing a data source via Web Services

    Hi,
    I have a client who is wanting to access a data source via web services.  Most of the information I have seen refers to IBM Virtual View Manager which I believe has been discontinued.  The client is currently using Cognos Analytics 11.08 but if we needed to upgrade to a later version that would be an option.  Other documents refer to specific API's for applications but I am needing something a bit more generic.

    What I would like to know, is this an idea worth pursuing and if so where would I find information on how to do this.

    Currently there is no direct access to a web services request for data.
    Look here for the existing RFE https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.aha.io/ideas/CAOP-I-186
