Hi community.
I admin a IBM FlashSystem A9000R 425 and I have this situation: Enclosure 1 has the following status:
A9000>>component_list
Component ID Status Currently Functioning
1:Flash_PSU:1:2 Failed no
1:Flash_PSU:2:1 OK yes
1:Flash_PSU:2:2 OK yes
1:Flash_BBU:1:1 Failed no
1:Flash_BBU:1:2 Initializing yes
1:Flash_BBU:2:1 Initializing yes
1:Flash_BBU:2:2 OK yes
Our local provider (storage is out of contract) run Technical Assistence Tool Flashsystem to replace disk 1:Flash_BBU:1:2 but procedure need to replace disk 1:Flash_BBU:1:1 in firt place. On Hyperscale A9000 we don't have any alert about cache status.
I think that disk 1:Flash_BBU:1:2 keep the cache services alive on that enclosure. I've checked all documentation available on internet, but I cannot find any article that help me to check cache status.
My questions are:
1.- How can I check the cache service status?
2.- Is any command to disable cache? I think that this task will activate write-through mode and I can change failed disk on the same enclosure that have the other flash_bbu in Failed status.
Many thanks!
