Hello All,

We want to gather details about hosts/clusters(and their platform types - pSeries/Linux/Windows) and FC/iSCSI way of connectivity from A9000 and A9000R.
We have lots of windows,pSeries,Linux and other platforms. Right now I am using Hyper-Scale Manager to get Host/Capacity/Volumes data by exporting to CSV file.
However, not able to get the platform details/types, and few things need to do manually.
Is there a way to get the above details via some tool or XCLI commands combination. Is there anything in HSM which I am missing.
Anyone have some custom scripts on this.  Please advise.

I'm not very knowledgeable with HSM, however I can recommend either IBM Storage Insights (cloud) or IBM Spectrum Control (on prem) solutions.

In both products you have the capability to monitor the A9000/A9000R devices, there is also powerful Reporting capabilities around Servers.  Let met add a few screen captures here : 

Host Connections

Volume mappings with more details on platform/ports/pools ..etc

then you can create easily a report from the panel : 


or you can further combine the data into general groups (and other grouping structures)  then make more complex reports if needed.

Absolutely Sudhir,   

Just a few more things.  The data collector component (that gets deployed into the site) that sends data to IBM Storage Insights (cloud) has proxy capability, but if the site is isolated, then IBM Spectrum Control will be an alternative.  There are a couple of features (like fabric/switch monitoring, 1 min interval for performance monitoring) that are only available (yet) in Control.
