I wonder how long Microsoft would take to publish a fix if VS Code had an issue like this. A few days, maybe. A time-to-fix in hours is not out of the question.
The most vigorous defenders of RDi are not being served well by IBM. It's not like we're asking for a new feature to be fixed; this error was introduced during application maintenance and represents a step backward.
Is this problem a show-stopper? For some maybe; for me, it's merely an inconvenience. This bug has spanned multiple releases, I'm paying for software maintenance, and IBM seems to be in no hurry to fix it. This situation is an annoyance and a disappointment.

Hi Paul,
I'm sorry the defect wasn't fixed in this release.
The issue was raised to the LPEX developer from IBM during COMMON this fall, and I'll raise the issue again next week when we meet with IBM.

I've just installed the lates fix pack, and see that this bug still hasn't been fixed.
6 months, and this bug hasn't been fixed? Really?
I've also just ready the fix pack contents and again I am left bewildered at the lack of content. There's so much stuff that could be address, enhanced, etc. and this is all we get after 6 months.
Come on Fortra - you must do better if you want to retain your user base.

Hi Paul,
The LPEX team has opened an APAR for this:
LPEX Editor Appearance Palette preference is not preserved in all cases
Work around:
If the General>Appearance Theme preference is 'Dark', the LPEX Editor Appearance Palette preference is set to 'black'. Otherwise, it is set to 'eclipse'.
We agree that the current behavior is a defect and the users setting should be honored. If they wished it to parrot the Theme, they should have added a Theme setting to honor the current set theme.

I've just installed fix pack 2 for 9.8 and all of my LPEX editor windows have reverted to the default white background.
I have tried changing the preferences to my preferred black background, which applies to any open editors, but when I open a new source member it has the white background.
I've tried changing the preferences and restarting but to no avail: it doesn't remember the preference.
Is this a known bug in the latest version, or is there something amiss with my installation?
