    Hello, I am removing volumes from a host but it gives me the following message: CMMVC8478E   The mapping cannot be removed because the volume being unmapped has received I/O within the defined volume protection period.

    As I understand it, I have to wait a period of inactivity for the system to allow me to remove them. Is this correct? By default. How long would I have to wait? Where can I see this value?

    Hi Miguel,

    Default value is 15 minutes. You can see and change it on Settings > System > Volume Protection
