  • 1.  12.1.5 Community Edition release?

    Posted 06/11/26 09:14 AM

Been using the EAP for about a month, doing some testing against my open source, MCP and FastAPI compatible agentic memory system, Mnemos. It fully supports Postgres, MySQL 9, SQLite, Oracle 26ai, and YES, IBM DB2 12.1.5 (tested with EAP, with native back end and also the Oracle Compatibility Mode).

When are the Community and Standard/Advanced Editions of 12.1.5 releasing? The original projected release date was June 9.

GitHub - ncz-os/mnemos: Production-grade memory operating system for agentic AI. Interoperates with every major framework via MCP, OpenAI-compatible gateway, and native /v1/* REST - Claude Code, OpenClaw, ZeroClaw, Hermes, MemPalace, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, Mem0, Letta, Zep. In production use since December 2025. Apache 2.0.

Hi Jason - I also cannot find the GA download.

My search engine shows the below blurb, which does correlate your GA release date, but clicking on the link just brings me to IBM announcements page. No information on db2 within. Hoping somebody can clarify! I would like to start testing 12.1.5 on my systems..

    "

May 1, 2026Db2 12.1.5 for Linux, UNIX and Windows is set to release on 9 June 2026. The latest mod pack is designed to help organizations scale AI-driven applications while maintaining the performance, availability and security required for mission-critical workloads."

I was also hoping for a timely release on June 9th. I'm probably most excited about RPM-supported installs ;-)

In case this is helpful for anyone I tend to watch this page for updates: Download Db2 fix packs by version for Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows

Once the first CSB is shipped, I use the respective site to check for new CSBs.

I am guessing 12.1.5 will show up as Mod 5 and maybe a Mod 5 CSB, and then the EA will be released...

Yes, it is going to be Mod 5, with Mod 5 CSB typically following a couple weeks later once they get a package of fixes together. I'm not sure what "EA" refers to.

I have opted to only installing CSBs because I find that most easiest. I never have to get some weird full install package from PA and I always get the latest fixes without manually selecting them.

All good! I'm glad this thread exists because I've been looking for the update, couldn't find it and thought it was me being the problem.

Db2 12.1.5 GA is available as per IBM's announcement earlier today.

Community edition has also been updated to 12.1.5.
