I think typing static baselines every month defeats the purpose of using Cognos. Unfortunately, I will need to stick to reports and charts until dashboards support visualisations with automated baselines. Moving average is a must on most trend graphs and you cannot type it manually.

Completely agree – would have been so good to have the baselines as calculated fields e.g. averages. I've had to type in static values on all the visuals I've created, going to be a big job to maintain on a monthly basis!

New baselines seem to be pretty basic when compared to chart. e.g. average/median/moving-average are not available and the options seem to be fixed to static values. At least I couldn't find the usual baseline options.

Hi Michelle
Looking at the latest New Features Guide (attached below), it seems that property is only in Reporting.

Hello,
Is anyone using release 7 yet – I can see the new 'Baselines' feature inside Reporting, but want to use the same feature inside a Dashboard and can't find it?
Many thanks,
Michelle
