    Rick,

Great information you shared.  I was looking at the release note, and found below under TDM.

Integration with IBM Data Virtualization Manager

    • Using JDBC on Linux or Windows
    • Using ODBC on Windows.

I assume IBM Data Virtualization Manager is IBM Data Virtualization Manager on Z vs on DV on distributed platform?

Wondering this means TDM can connect to IBM IBM Data Virtualization Manager and access mainframe data sources from TDM distributed?

Did not find relevant information on Knowledge Center. Can you elaborate more or point me to some documents on this?

    Thank you.

    Hi Albert,

    Thanks!

Yes, IBM Data Virtualization Manager is IBM Data Virtualization Manager on z.

Yes, this means that Optim Distributed , either DGS or TDM, can access data from mainframe data sources. This is done using Federation (wrapper, server, user mapping, nickname) capabilities of IBM Db2. At this time, there is no further documentation available on this.
