    Hi All:

    I don't write here much, but I'm an Informix old-timer.  I've worked w/ Informix since RDS Informix 3.3 on an IBM PC-XT.   I worked at Informix Corp and IBM for ~20 years back in the day.

    Coincidentally, I've been here at Actian (a database/integration company) since 2006.  Actian was was bought by HCL a couple years ago and now we'ere handling the Informix business for HCL.  Yay - I'm working with Informix again.

    Anyway, I came up w/ a simple idea to make the new v15 External Smartblobs a little more user friendly.

    You may not have used this feature yet, but you might enjoy reading about the idea anyway.
