Hi William,
We've done some internal testing where we were able to connect to SAP data via the JDBC Gateway server-client component that comes with DVM for z/OS. So the client accesses the DVM Server, which routes to the Gateway and then on to the SAP database and uses their SAP HANA driver.
So while some success has been achieved, it is not optimized as are the native mainframe sources. We haven't gone through rigorous functional, performance, or regression testing for this data source. The mileage may vary concerning comprehensive data type mapping, function mapping, SQL translation to SAP database.
One of IBM's finest was able to successfully connect, as well, however, he is out until next week. We can circle back specifically on Monday to get a read-out from him regarding any specifics.

Greetings All,
does anybody know if DVM can "talk" to SAP HANA (i.e read data from SAP HANA tables)?
