  • 1.  An issue ocurr while triyng to install ibm java sdk 8 for B2B on AIX

    Hello,

    I'm triyng to install java sdk 8 as part of prerequesites to install B2B 6.1 on AIX 7.1 but an error is happening when I execute the .bin.

    The execution shows this:

    "Preparing to install...
    Extracting the JRE from the installer archive...
    Unpacking the JRE...
    Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
    Configuring the installer for this system's environment...

    Launching installer...

    JRE libraries are missing or not compatible....
    Exiting...."


    I've checked the OS and Arch compatibilities and everything it's ok, also I tried to apply this solution I found for Cognos but same error: JRE libraries are missing or not compatible but it didn't work.

    Have you ever seen that and solved it?

    I was installing the wrong version, the correct one for AIX must be the j864redist.<version>.bin file.

    Yes, please make sure you use the java version 8.0.6.5 or later.
