  • 1.  How to change DCM *SYSTEM password without GUI interface

    Posted 2 days ago

Hy Champion, i remember that in V5R2M0 there were a command to reset *SYSTEM CA password without DCM gui interface.

    V5R2M0 : CALL QICSS/QYUTRSETPW PARM('/QIBM/USERDATA/ICSS/CERT/SERVER/DEFAULT.KDB')

is there a way to change it via command in V7R3M0 ?

The GUI is broken and they cannot install PTF for HTTP, they are migrating the a new IBMi and they have to import the CA to a new V7R4M0 but also with QMGTOOLS command GETSSL and DCM we need the *SYSTEM CA password.

We cannot also save and restore because they already configure CA certificate on new IBM, only export and import .

    Have a good day.

Luca - looks like your choices are very limited here

How to Change the Password to the *System Store in Digital Certificate Manager for i (DCM)

Perhaps IBM has an undocumented way of doing it - might need to call them and see what your options are.

    Good luck!
