I noted the same thing, and agree completely, it is great news for V11 customers, who wants to stay on-prem.
Being non-containerized will also be seen benefit, for our clients at least. To be frank, delivering PAW in containers has actually not really been seen as an advantage by any of our clients and there IT departments. More often, we have been met with the fact that it can be a security risk and by virtual environments that do not support containers.
So all in all, great news!

Subject: V12 - Non-containerized and on-premise
ICYMI - On yesterday's AMA Mike mentioned that a non-containterized, on-premise version of V12 will be available, likely 2025 GA but potentially preview Q3/Q4 2024.
"There is some discussion underway at IBM around. Will we, when we will we deliver the current V 12 server which will be likely labeled as the V 12 server or whatever name we come up with? But it will be a non containerized version of the TM one server. "
Recording link: here - discussion starts around 17:48. Mike then gives some further clarification at around 56:30 on the naming conventions.
This is huge news for many V11 on-premise customers/clients!
What are your thoughts on this?
