John - maybe I missed it, but what is the error message?
Also - if you do have users complaining about time-out issues with authentication. This one change might not help the situation. It can be a browser issue as well.

Hi Daryl, thanks for the response. I've tried a number of values including 7200 and get the same error. I'm at a loss.

Hey John -
I have not seen an error in that instance before. But adding 10 hours to the timeout might be too much. Most webservers will timeout in an hour anyway.
But I would try increasing it to 2 hour (7200 seconds) and see if that helps. What is the main issue you are trying to solve by increasing this? - let me guess, users just keeping their tab open and it is causing authentication error? ;)
I hope that helps a bit.

Having an issue increasing the "Inactivity timeout in seconds" in the IBM Cognos Configuration tool. It's currently set at 3600 seconds. When I try to increase it, I get a little error message. Is there a max value for this field? See attached
