    Blog – What is new for Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW64)

    IBM will begin deployment of Planning Analytics Workspace version 64 overnight on Tuesday, May 18th, beginning with Asia-Pacific and Singapore, then to Europe, Canada, and the United States data centers:

    • Beta for new model workbench
    • Forecasting improvements As of Planning Analytics Workspace 2.0.64, you can define multiple historical time periods to be ignored when creating a forecast.
    • Apply value formats in visualizations - In previous versions of Planning Analytics Workspace, values in explorations were displayed as number format (12,345.67) by default. Visualizations now support formatted values.
    • Text size parity in equally sized widgets
    • Planning Analytics for Excel (PAFE) - View formula in a Custom Report is now displayed by default
    • Custom Reports are indented based on hierarchy level
    • Use new API methods to manage the Task Pane in reports

    Hi Paul,

    Are you able to confirm if Applying value Formats in visualizations resolves the issue outlined here:

    PAW Visualisation Percentage Issue

    I ask this because we have a customer in the cloud who is still on the old experience and they say the following:

    "If this goes live on May 18th (have had notice from IBM announcing the upgrade) and the issue of setting number formats can't be solved, much of my MI reports and dashboards won't be fit for purpose. 

    To put it mildly that would be a real problem! 

    Can you have a look, and if necessary escalate this as very urgent please"

    Please note that you need to set the format in Workspace, either on the row/column in the exploration or on the chart itself.  Element attribute formatting from TM1 is not picked up on the chart axes.  To set the format on the chart right click on the axis.
