Hello Michael,
The registration confirmation email for "Ask Me Anything: IBM Planning Analytics - May edition webinar" says in part:
"If you have any questions for the presenters or want to learn more about this topic, click here." (Emphasis is mine.) Clicking the "here" link brings me to this page.
This "Reply" is the only place I can see the ability to post a question (with a very short window at that.)...
During Thursday's "Ask Anything" could you have someone address the questions raised here?: https://community.ibm.com/community/user/businessanalytics/blogs/tracy-peppy1/2024/04/12/planning-analytics-on-cloud-rich-tier-deprecation
Along these same lines, here are a few more questions:
- When will these changes apply to the local (On-Prem) version?
- Is the information on the page at the following link accurate, esp. regarding Print Report?
https://community.ibm.com/community/user/businessanalytics/blogs/sami-el-cheikh1/2024/04/23/best-practices-for-transitioning-from-legacy-tm1-c
- Is there a possibility to provide a direct connection to the Rich Tier S:\ drive from a Windows Desktop File Manager (FM)?
This approach would save enhancement development time of the current web-based FM provided in PAW and provide admin access using a known tool.
- Please provide details on the SFTP tools that will be supported.
- What tool(s) will be supported to provide disc space management?
- What tool(s) will be supported to allow the ability to generate and test Command Shell batch files, PowerShell scripts, and TM1 Rest API files for interfacing with exterior data sources and targets.
- How will error log access be provided, esp. if it is a separate/non-standard folder?
- What tools will be provided to migrate Perspectives/Architect Applications to PAW Applications and Plans?
- What tools will be provided to migrate Perspectives reports (all types) into PAW Reports and Analysis?
I'm sure there are more impacts and questions, but I think this is a good start! :-)
Looking forward to Thursday!
