Can't burst to file? Try saving to Box.

Many Cognos Analytics users have report output burst to a local file system for consumption by internal or third-party audiences.  When the Cognos Analytics environment is moved to the cloud, however, it naturally no longer has access to your local file system, and the burst to file feature becomes a bit more tricky to handle. 

You could save to an S3 storage location, but a simple solution which can be used in some cases is email delivery to a folder which I’ll show here.  


You could do this with any folder system that receives attached files via email delivery (i.e. Sharepoint document library), but the video below shows the process using a Box folder. 

This may not work for everyone, but in some cases, this simple alternative will be a great solution.
