Update October 21, 2019

Long overdue, I have provided an update to the matrix highlighting the differences between the various offerings of IBM Cognos Analytics.

Original Introduction
There are three different offerings of IBM Cognos Analytics available today, as well as a trial version of the product.  This is a big change from only a few years ago when we only sold an on-premises version of the product, or couple of years ago when we added our initial cloud offering.

What I hear a lot now as the offering manager for our cloud offerings is a request for an explanation of the difference between our different cloud offerings, as well as our on-premises offering.  So, to coincide with the 11.1.1 release of IBM Cognos Analytics, (Feb/2029 - the latest version is now 11.1.5) I thought it was about time I wrote this up.

With the release of the 11.1.3 version of IBM Cognos Analytics on Cloud, (Feb/2020 - again, latest version is 11.1.5) I thought the matrix of release functionality was due for an update, especially with the introduction of user tiers, a new trial, and support for accessing on-premises databases.
Below is a quick summary of our product offerings as of July 12, 2019  October 21, 2019 February 7, 2020.
