IBM Db2 AI for z/OS 1.6.2 (Db2ZAI) delivers significant enhancements to provide an improved user experience and more insights on top of the existing release functionality.

With Db2ZAI 1.6.2:

  • System assessment users can:

    •  Collect data and perform system assessments without connecting to a Db2ZAI instance.

    •  Choose a subset of assessment factors, such as target areas or the time range of assessment, as needed, to minimize the assessment duration and resource consumption.

  • Distributed connections control (DCC) users are able to:

    • Analyze and drill down into the behavior of distributed connections by IP address in addition to the existing drill-down analysis of distributed threads by client users and application name.

    • Suppress console messages when DCC-based profiles hit warning thresholds.

  • SQL optimization users can:

    • Filter the dynamic statements for Db2ZAI to optimize by client user ID, client application name, or both.

    • Set a confidence level to influence the access path regression detection logic.

Db2ZAI 1.6.2 also delivers a simplified process for updating Db2ZAI maintenance and release levels.

In summary, Db2ZAI 1.6.2 provides more flexible system assessments, more insights from distributed connections, and better control of SQL optimization.

We hope that you explore the new capabilities of Db2ZAI 1.6.2 and what it can do for your business!

Db2ZAI 1.6.2 is delivered as a set of APARs for Db2 13 for z/OS and Db2ZAI. For more details, review the Db2ZAI 1.6.x documentation.
