IBM adds AI-enhanced data resilience capabilities to help combat ransomware and other threats with enhanced storage solutions

As the GenAI market becomes more established, the risk of cybercriminals exploiting AI increases. Usage of AI and machine learning models is enabling data storage defenses to quickly react to threat alerts and learn from threat patterns to continually evolve storage defenses as the threat landscape changes.
To help counter these threats, we are adding new AI-enhanced versions of the IBM FlashCore Module 4 (FCM4) technology inside IBM Storage FlashSystem products and a new version of IBM Storage Defender software. Another major step in detecting threats real-time using innovative AI technology at block level I/O with no impact in performance while providing end-to-end data resiliency posture across all tiers of Storage.
