@Robert Andrews Thank you for this and also the updated edition. I agree that the issue is never ransomware that was written specifically for IBM i, but rather, ransomware acting from infected non-IBM i systems, but on IBM i.
Your readers may want to be aware that there are commercial solutions that help to secure the IBM i against ransomware beyond what can be achieved with the operating system's own tools. One example is the anti-ransomware functionality in Powertech Antivirus:Powertech Antivirus for IBM i (AS/400, iSeries)
