We delivered a unique POC for 6-lane road maintenance using IBM Maximo 7.6.1.2 and Maximo Anywhere. The solution automated the entire workflow for pothole repairs, streetlight maintenance, vendor management, and warranty tracking.
How the original solution worked:
🔹 Automated Inspection Work Orders
PM generated inspection WOs automatically and assigned them to inspectors for a 50-km stretch.
🔹 Mobile-Based Field Inspection
Using Maximo Anywhere, inspectors:
- Captured images
- Logged GPS coordinates
- Recorded pothole depth/width
- Created child WOs for each issue (potholes, lights, etc.)
- After completing both sides of the 50-km stretch, they closed the parent WO.
🔹 GPS-Based Vendor Packaging
Once the parent WO was closed, Maximo automatically grouped all child WOs by GPS boundaries (e.g., every 25 km).
➡️ Each vendor received a dedicated package for their respective jurisdiction.
🔹 Vendor Execution & Warranty Tracking
Vendors fixed issues under supervision.
Warranty details were captured so that during future inspections Maximo could automatically detect:
🟢 If the same location was still under warranty → No payment
🔵 If warranty expired → New WO created
