I am happy to announce that the latest release of Cognos Analytics, release 11.1.7 (R7) is now available.

These new capabilities will make it faster and easier for business users and content creators to design more sophisticated dashboards and reports and connect to a wider array of data sources. In addition, we've made it easier to extend and customize Cognos to tailor it to your unique business needs, and the new mobile app means that users will have access to the latest analytics wherever and whenever they need them.

CA R7 is also very important because is it a Long Term Support Release, meaning that it is the final release of the 11.1.X software stream. For more details refer to the following blog.
