IBM Maximo IT 9.1 release delivers significant AI enhancements and new capabilities that will transform your IT and OT operations. The upcoming release of Maximo Application Suite 9.1 scheduled for June 2025, includes Maximo IT.
Key features coming in Maximo IT 9.1
· Enhanced Self-Service experience: Users can now view their assigned assets, raise tickets faster, and track asset refresh schedules without contacting the service desk. Additionally, managers and other roles will benefit from quick approval workflows that improve process efficiency and boost user satisfaction.
· Intelligent Service Delivery for SREs and agents: We're launching a new Service Delivery workspace specifically designed for Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and service agents. This intelligent, activities-based environment will drive faster ticket resolution through data-driven actions, making your team more productive and effective.
· AI-powered Incident resolution: Maximo IT 9.1 will recommend ownership for similar incidents and show possible solutions based on historical data, significantly reducing ticket resolution time and minimizing ticket churn. This means your agents can work smarter, not harder.
· Service Topology visualization: One of the most exciting new features is Service Topology visualization. This capability will visually display what each service comprises, dramatically aiding in quicker root cause analysis. You'll be able to effectively view service availability and value, making data-driven decisions with confidence. This extends our Service View and Insights capabilities with an improved user experience.
· Enhanced collaboration through Chat Ops: We're extending Chat Ops and Swarm functions for incidents through integrations with Microsoft Teams and Slack. This integration will enable seamless collaboration and faster incident resolution by bringing your existing communication tools into the service management workflow.
· IT/OT convergence acceleration: Building on our commitment to IT/OT convergence, version 9.1 will feature asset discovery for OT, IT, and IoT devices leveraging security alert software integration. The enhanced topology will show service stability and reliability through visualization of alerts and security vulnerabilities, providing actionable data that reduces silos and enhances collaboration across your organization.
