We have released V3.0.66 of IBM z/OS Connect OpenAPI 2 and OpenAPI 3. In this release there is a new Getting Started tutorial for API requester, the z/OS Connect documentation is now available offline with IBM Offline documentation, support for the generation of a JSON Web Token (JWT) for authentication with an API requester is available and new versions of the z/OS Connect Operator, z/OS Connect provider Gradle plug-in and the z/OS Connect API requester Gradle plug-in are now available. In addition to these enhancements, there are the following maintenance fixes PH50403, PH50992, PH51002 for OpenAPI 2 and PH48233 and PH51224 for OpenAPI 2 and OpenAPI 3. Getting Started tutorial for API requester that provides steps on how to write a CICS COBOL application to call a remote OpenAPI 3.0 RESTful API endpoint, process multiple HTTP response codes and manage dynamic length arrays that are described by the OpenAPI 3 document. From v3.0.66, IBM z/OS Connect is enhanced to support the generation of a JSON Web Token (JWT) for authentication with an API requester OpenAPI 3 specification API endpoint. For more information, see Calling an API secured with a locally generated JWT.

Maintenance Fixes

PH48233 - BAQR1153W HTTP status code 400 is reported when a message greater than 4 KB is sent to an API endpoint.

PH50403 - APIs expanded in a subdirectory of the server's API directory start returning HTTP status code 404 after updating to V3.0.53.0.

PH50992 - The z/OS Connect SMF field SMF123_DATETIME_OFFSET reports the wrong time after a DST update.

PH51002 - An API cannot be opened with the Swagger UI within the z/OS Connect API toolkit.

PH51224 - Sending an OAuth 2.0 access token to an endpoint failed because it could not be sent in a custom header.
