Results from the tests in theEarly Development Testing extension on Microsoft Visual Studio Code(VS Code) now link the failures directly to the test point at which the test failed, as well as the argument from where mismatch occurs.
-
Test Accelerator for Z Early Development Testing running in VS Code added more rich edit capability for COBOL data types like numeric decimal fields for native binary COMP-5 and packed decimal COMP-3.
-
Detailed occurrence information has easier identification as it is now added to the test point view and included in the data editor title in the Test Accelerator for Z Early Development Testing for VS Code.
-
Recording in the Early Development Testing running as a VS Code extension now automatically excludes many common utility programs from the recording data when choosing to record a batch program.
-
Important fixes for Test Accelerator for Z Early Development Testing in Eclipse are now available for uptake.

IBM Enterprise Edition for Galasa is now based on Galasa 0.44.0. That means that now when modifying your generated functional tests, you can use 3270Manager's ITerminal interface and take advantage of a new toJsonString() method that allows tests to convert the current 3270 terminal screen into JSON format.
-
The zapp.yaml file for your project can now be used as the Galasa Configuration Property Store (CPS) in IBM Enterprise Edition for Galasa. This means your project information is what is directly used and you don’t need a separate properties file for the same information for an improved test development experience.
-
The Enterprise Edition extensions to Galasa are now available on Maven Central. This is important! You can now use Maven Central directly with both Galasa and IBM Enterprise Edition of Galasa in your personal builds as well as your DevOps pipeline when building and running your tests, without the need to host the (still provided) jar. as yet another improvement to the user experience.
{voiceover}: “More coming soon, next time, on Test Accelerator for Z!”
